Mihaela Zhekova Price, the Creative Director of Eco2wear is an Award Winning fashion designer with international training and work experience from UK, USA and Bulgaria. The Label is currently based in Southampton, Hampshire and specializes in creating refashioned – cutting edge clothing and accessories by using upcycled materials sourced at local charity shops, vintage markets and city waste and recycling centres.
Since 2013 Mihaela has been declared Winner of the ENLIVEN Fashion Project 13’, judged by British designers Wayne Hemingway MBE, Mia Nisbet and Eastleigh Borough Council. Following that success the designer was sponsored by the ENLIVEN to present her upcycled Eco collection ‘Silver Nature’ S/S 14′ at the South Coast Fashion Week, BIC, Bournemouth in May 2014. The designer has also been involved in creating visual displays for M&S and GAP, Southampton, writing Fashion Styling articles for the Partnership newspaper, branch of Daily Echo and running multi arts workshops for children and adults at the D@rt Community Centre, Southampton.
About the new collection: Eco2wear new upcycled S/S 16′ collection ‘Hemisphere’ is made of old High Street decals that retailers throw away every day and upcycled cotton sheets. The inspiration behind the collection comes from the designer’s resent trip to Dubai, Australia and New Zealand.
